Washington Prep HS: Won the Marine League championship in the 100 meters and 200 meters as a senior… Also placed second in both events at the LA City Finals and was one of only athletes on her team to qualify for the State Championships… Voted the school’s Athlete of the Month her senior year… Qualified for the LA City Prelims as a junior, which was her first season running track… While on the basketball team she was named 2nd Team all-league as a senior and the team’s Rookie of the Year as a freshman… Spent two years on the track team and three years on the basketball team…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was qualifying for the State Championships and winning the league title in two events as a senior…Would like to transfer to either USC or Washington State University… Nicknamed “Shay”… Has four siblings – Onitsha (31), DeJonnah (26), Jonathan (24) and Blake (23)… Is the daughter of Vernel and Donna Shaw… Born in Hawthorne, CA on October 19, 1994…..
